Gun possession arrest made in Sechelt

Sunshine Coast RCMP arrested David Kennerley, 24, of Sechelt on Jan. 16. He was found to be in possession of a loaded .22-calibre double barrel handgun.

He was found to be in possession of a loaded .22-calibre double barrel handgun.

Kennerley has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, for being in possession of a prohibited firearm and with breaching his conditions from a prior undertaking. According to a press release from Sgt. Gerry Webb, Kennerley was arrested a few months ago for being in possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and had been released from custody with conditions.

Kennerley is currently in custody with bail set at $5,000. If bail is not posted, he will remain in custody until his trial.
