South Pender Harbour water use still high, SCRD asks residents to conserve

South Pender Harbour Water System users are being asked to cut down their water use.

The Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) is asking South Pender Harbour Water System users to cut down their water use, which remains high despite the system being moved to Stage 2 water restrictions last week.

The high water use means that residents in the system are using "more water than the SCRD can sustainably supply — especially during wildfire season," said an SCRD statement.

Lawn watering in any form is not allowed. The SCRD also asks that non-essential water use –– like washing vehicles –– be limited and if you're cleaning a driveway, use a broom instead of a hose.
