Coquitlam man killed in motorcycle crash

A 33-year-old motorcyclist from Coquitlam died last Thursday after flying off his motorcycle into the path of an oncoming pickup truck on Highway 101 in the south Pender Harbour area, according to Sunshine Coast RCMP.

Local club hosts astronomy day

On Saturday, Aug. 19, the Sunshine Coast Astronomy Club hosts its second annual Astronomy Day in the Park in Porpoise Bay Provincial Park. Last year's event attracted over 750 visitors from as far away as Washington and Oregon.
