Poetry readings and the launch of Lowballer takes place this Sunday, April 27 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Gibsons Public Art Gallery.

The piano encore concert, presented by the Sunshine Coast Festival of the Performing Arts (FOPA), got off to a great start on April 13 with young Brison Geue playing a fast and polished Toccatina Op. 27 No.12 by Kabalevsky.

The Rakish Angles will be returning to the Gibsons Heritage Playhouse next Saturday, May 3 for a performance of mostly new acoustic material. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

David Gogo makes his third appearance at the Roberts Creek Hall next Saturday, May 3. Since we last saw guitar virtuoso Gogo heating the hall with his soulful vocals and blistering licks, he’s been a busy man.

The Pender Harbour Music Society presents the Clover Point Drifters next Sunday, May 4. The 2 p.m. show at the School of Music in Madeira Park, is a re-scheduled show from March, which was cancelled at the last minute due to an illness in the band.

Shakti Dance from Vancouver presents a performance of Five Faces next Saturday, April 26 at 7 p.m. at the Heritage Playhouse in Gibsons.

Artist Marleen Vermeulen brought her conversations with nature to the Gibsons Public Art Gallery (GPAG) on April 5 in an exhibition launch that drew an estimated 300 people to the reception.
