Egmont's annual community festival June 1 was a damp, perhaps understated to start due to the rain, but nonetheless joyful affair. The day included a parade, cake walk, music and festivities in the park. 

Sunshine Coast Hospice Society offers services and support to people facing end of life challenges, including palliative care, advance care planning, and grief support for those who have lost a loved one. Hike for Hospice is the organization’s major annual fundraiser, held on May 26 this year at Mission Point Park. Despite the rain, enthusiastic volunteers were smiling.
