The Pender Harbour Music Society presents the Summer Chamber Music Weekend. Saturday, Aug. 17, Kai Gleusteen, violin, and Catherine Ordronneau take the stage at the School of Music. This dynamic duo calls Barcelona home. Their extensive world tour includes a welcome return to Pender Harbour! Their programme, with Dvorak, Kreisler and Gershwin, promises to be a marvellous opening to the PHMS’s 2024/2025 concert season.
Sunday, Aug. 18, Joan Blackman, violin; Zoltan Rozsnyai, cello and Jane Hayes, piano, take to the stage.
Joan and her colleagues are known for superbly expressive ensemble programmes and this Sunday afternoon of piano trios promises to be no exception, featuring the Brahms Op 8 and Babajanian Piano Trio. Dedicated chamber music fans are always delighted at the return of these gifted chamber musicians. Each concert is $30 or $50 for both, tickets available on the PHMS website.
