The Sunshine Coast Museum and Archives is searching for the mystery donor who last week deposited a black-and-white photograph at the facility.

This year’s tournament, held Aug. 23 to 25, marked a significant achievement for the league and its participants.

The Loon Foundation is hosting a monitoring symposium: a gathering of local citizen scientists, professionals, volunteers and curious community members for sharing and collaborating in the long-term monitoring of coastal aquatic biodiversity on the Sunshine Coast.

The diverse skills and creativity on display by local and visiting artists, musicians, and chefs at this year’s Hackett Park Artisan Fair Aug. 17 and 18 was inspiring. The event, now in its 36th year, attracts close to 5,000 visitors over two days, bringing together friends and family who meet to browse the booths, listen to music, enjoy the sunshine, and maybe share a hand-crafted treat.

As September arrives, there are many operating hours that change. For our lovely Harbour Gallery, Sunday, Sept. 1, will be the final full-time opening day for the summer season. For the rest of September, the gallery will be open Saturdays only, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
