Thankfully without injuries, an abandoned travel trailer up the B&K underwent, as NASA would put it, an RUD (Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly) and now there are bits of it 15 metres in every direction.

This Friday, Jan. 10 come enjoy and participate at Eddie’s Jam at The Legion. Make a night of it and have a fish and chips dinner starting at 5 p.m. The music starts at 7 p.m. The Sunday Jam at The Clubhouse this week, Jan. 12, 2 to 6 p.m.

Tickets are now available for the most exciting Halfmoon Bay Community Association sponsored concert to date – the Andrew Collins Trio, who have five nominated Juno awards and seven Canadian Folk Music awards.

The march of Jupiter and Saturn towards the sun in December 2019 continues with Jupiter in conjunction – disappearing directly behind the Sun - on December 27 and Saturn on January 13.

Happy New Year, New Decade! Celebrate the first weekend of 2020 with music. There are two great jams this weekend. One is tonight, Friday, Jan. 3, Eddy Endrik’s Jam at The Legion. Come early for fish and chips.

So a new year has dawned and as we move into the ’20s we have no idea what is in store for us.

I ran into Shirly Samples, co-ordinator extraordinaire of Sunshine Coast Streamkeepers, over the holidays and she was pleased by the positive response to the column I wrote last November about the Streamkeepers of Chaster Creek.
