Transportation Choices Sunshine Coast (TraC) is conducting a survey of residents to determine high-risk locations for cyclists and pedestrians on the Sunshine Coast requiring improvement.
The survey lists 12 areas identified by the TraC board and members for rating as a high, medium, or low priority. It also asks respondents to indicate other areas in their neighbourhood or community where roads or intersections could be improved to make it safer or more comfortable to walk or bike.
Once tallied the results will provide a prioritized list of infrastructure projects to increase safety up and down the Sunshine Coast.
“We plan to share these results with our local government and the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) to advocate and guide future road improvements,” said TraC chair Alun Woolliams.
The survey can be found at www.transporationchoices.ca and is open until June 9. Everyone who completes it will have the option of entering a separate draw for a $50 gift certificate from the Off The Edge Bike Shop in Sechelt.
