This summer marks the third successful year of Sea to Sky Outdoor School's popular Salish Sea Explorers.

The program offers children aged nine to 12 the opportunity to take part in a week of canoe adventure day trips based out of Gibsons Harbour. Destinations include Keats Island, Paisley Islands, Soames Hill Park, and other nooks and crannies in Howe Sound and the Salish Sea.

The week's activities will include voyageur canoeing, adventure hiking, ocean swimming, nature interpretation, survival skills, sustainability education and forest games. Participants will have the opportunity to get to know their home place from the water, a unique vantage point rooted in the maritime traditions of the Sunshine Coast.

Programs are led by Sea to Sky's lead educators (certified teachers with wilderness First Aid training). This summer's program runs from Aug. 26 to 30. Registration is open now at seatosky.bc.ca.
