A Weekend Of Beethoven with Kai Gleusteen and Catherine Ordronneau begins this evening, Friday, Jan. 24 at the School of Music at 7:30 p.m. and continues Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for each day or $60 for the weekend for adults, and $15 for students or $30 for the weekend. This Saturday, Jan. 25 the Pender Harbour Legion gives us a great opportunity to get rid of those posts Christmas blues. It's Burns Night, that annual celebration of the birth of one of Scotland's great sons, Robbie Burns.
Once again the Legion presents its traditional celebration of the poet's birth with its own Pender Harbour brand of fun thrown in. Enjoy the haggis (and beef) supper, the traditional toasts, entertainment by the Coast String Fiddlers, Pender Harbor Pipe Band and music and singing by the Braw Lads.
