Obituary: Timothy Wayne Roose

'Tim was always singing to a good song on the open road. He was a man of god and science. He loved looking to the stars from this pale blue dot. He was a child of the universe.'

Oct. 27, 1949 - Jan. 28, 2023

Tim passed away at his home in Egmont on Jan. 28. Tim grew up in Alberta, before settling on the Sunshine Coast, where he has been for 36 years. Tim took pride in his Swedish heritage, and believed to be descended from Vikings. Before retiring, Tim was a welder for 20 years at Con-Agg. He also spent time with the CN Railway. Tim found joy in fishing, baseball, golf, air shows, car shows, NASCAR, and live music. Tim was always singing to a good song on the open road. He was a man of god and science. He loved looking to the stars from this pale blue dot. He was a child of the universe. Storytelling was a gift that Tim loved to share. He had an appreciation for the power of words and poetry. Tim will be missed by his wife Gale; his five children: Deedrie, Theo, Jesse, Myrriah, & Luke; and his grandchildren: Caleb, Ryan, Brandon and Rosie. Tim is predeceased by his parents Ted & Muriel & his brothers Pat & Gus.

"A viking until the final battle, Valhalla is yours!"
