May 30, 1951 - March 25, 2025
Bob passed away suddenly at his home in Gibsons on March 25th . Born and raised in Ottawa, Bob spent his youth skating on the river, and it was there that he first dipped his toes into the roofing trade—though he probably never imagined it would turn into a lifelong career.
In the early 1980s, Bob embarked on trek to Mexico to escape the snow, but eventually settled in British Columbia with a core group of friends from Ottawa. It was in BC that he truly began to put down roots, where he is survived by his daughters and son.
Bob spent most of his working life in construction, with the majority of those years spent roofing. He had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found fishing, biking, swimming, or gardening—always in his element.
Whether on the job or off, Bob had a way of making the most of life, always with a joint in one hand and a beer in the other. He was a man who lived life fully, with a generous spirit and a unique sense of humor that made him unforgettable.
Bob was larger than life, and his presence will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
There will be a celebration of life at the Royal Canadian Legion branch #109 Gibsons BC on May 24th 12-3pm .
