Our ray of sunshine, Denise Anne Howse (nee Bradley), 74, of Gibsons, BC, Canada, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on August 16, 2025, after a 20-year battle with breast cancer.

Denise was born on February 10, 1951, to Derek and Anne Bradley in Hartlepool, England. They immigrated to Calgary, Alberta, when she was 5 years old. She studied journalism at the University of Calgary and met Allan when he came over to install a phone jack.

Denise was a loving sister to Steve (and Lori Bradley), a devoted wife of 54 years to Allan Howse and a loving mother to Brett, Angela (w/Michael), Keith (w/Ericka) and Heather (w/David). Denise was a cherished Gramma to Elijah, Eva, Isla, Star, Austin, Ronan, Maeve, Ian, Ainsley and Kylie.

Denise had a full life full of family, friends and travel. She was a fighter with an incredible will and positive spirit. She did not let having MS for 30 years hold her back. She had great planning skills from epic girl trips and family dinners to camping trips, parties and home exchanges. She loved to travel and make traditions. Denise was a YouTube influencer (Travels in my Chair) and enjoyed gardening and her faithful dog, Roxy. She was a great artist, listener and problem solver and was very kind and generous; she could not have done it without Allan.

A celebration of life will be held at the YMCA camp Elphinstone at 1760 YMCA Rd in Langdale, Sunshine Coast, BC, on Friday, September 19th, 2025, at 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Cancer Society or BC MS Society in her memory.
