Colin Richard Swales (Dad, Grampy, Mate)

October 17, 1943 - September 9, 2023

Colin passed away at home in Garden Bay, BC with loved ones by his side.

Left to mourn is "the catch of his life" Dianne, son Christopher (Chrissy), daughters Jackie-Dee (Neil), Lindsey, stepdaughter Billie-Jean (Steve), stepson James Arthur (Erin), grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many life long friends near and far. He was predeceased by daughter Tammy and stepson Ricky. Colin was a lover of the great outdoors. He would play outside from dusk til dawn. A bird lover and unique soul that children and critters of all kinds gravitated toward. His favorite past time was camping and fishing, his favorite saying being "any minute now". He was a positive thinker who loved to sit with a "good coffee" and find humor in every situation. A mason/roofer/carpenter, jack of all trades who many on the coast turned to, seeking his expertise, advice and personal touch. He also had a special knack for building beautiful unique bird houses. Everyday he counted his blessings, his family being his greatest. He leaves an enormous void in the lives of all who knew and loved him. The family thanks the three amazing palliative nurses who made it possible for him to pass at home in his lil piece of paradise. And to the many friends for their love and support.

"See you on the other side mate!"

"Dad I love you forever and always, Love Red"

"Fish on Grampy"
