The M.S. equipment fund is pleased to announce that through the generous support from the community and a grant from the SC Community Foundation, the arrival of two thera-vital active passive exercisers, which will be placed in the "wellness" room at the Gibsons and Area Community Centre.

A special dedication ceremony will be held with the Sunshine Coast Regional District on Thursday, Sept. 26 at the community centre. Representatives from the SCRD as well as the M.S. Society and the local fundraising group will be on hand to offer demonstrations of the new machines.

The machines are motor-assisted exercise devices offering upper and lower body exercise, which are fully wheelchair accessible or using a study chair. They offer passive, active and active with assistance/resistance exercise modes. Users of nearly any physical condition including paralyzed or sedentary patients can benefit from movement exercise on these machines. Since they are adjustable, any age group can use them.
