Seventh Annual Sechelt Electric Vehicle Festival held last weekend

The Seventh Annual Sechelt Electric Vehicle Festival was another great success.

The public joined EV owners on the Sechelt Learning Centre playing field to inspect and talk about the growing number of EV models. Highlights included the new Electric Utility Vehicle (EUV) Chevy Bolt from Sunshine Coast GM, a visit from the never-before-seen on the Coast luxury brand Lucid Air, from Vancouver, and two new Ford F-150 Lightning trucks.

An electric motorcycle, paraglider, one-wheel skateboards, E-bikes and mobility scooters really brought home the idea that electric transportation is the future!

This year’s festival’s theme was using EVs for road trips with long-time experts Buddy Boyd and Harvey Soicher, talking about their experiences travelling across Canada (both have done so twice!) With increased charging infrastructure, a trip virtually anywhere is achievable these days.

Sunshine Coast Electric Vehicle Association thanks everyone who came out to learn more about electric vehicles and zero tail pipe emission travel. We especially want to thank our friends from VEVA (Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association) for joining us!
