The next community fundraiser is this Saturday, June 22, at 6 p.m. at Boomer's Burger Bar.

B.E.A.R. is a unique music group consisting of Thilo 'Many Bears' Mehrhoff and Tim Steinruck from Vancouver, an organic acoustic based group with a modern folk sound that uses a variety of traditional instruments with Native percussion and accompanied by melodic verses to sing of admiration for Mother Earth and celebrate a passion. Buffalo Woman, one of the songs on B.E.A.R.'s CD, has been recently re-recorded with Samantha E, 2011 International Naturally Autistic Peoples (INAP) awards performing arts recipient from Edinburgh, Scotland.

This year, B.E.A.R. will be collaborating with many of the international artists and local personalities attending the fourth annual INAP awards convention festival here on the Sunshine Coast, Oct. 1 to 6.

Mehrhoff is a singer/songwriter, Native American flutist, percussionist and certified transformational breath work practitioner. Steinruck is a singer/songwriter, guitarist and percussionist, touring musician, producer and engineer.

A great evening is to be had by all with the fantastic Boomer burgers and B.E.A.R. music! Get your tickets ($10) early at Boomer's Burger Bar and Gibsons Copy Shop.

Door prizes and a silent and live auction with Skinner will add to the fun, energizing evening.
