Sunshine Coast Young Life is planning a reel night out at the movies this Saturday, Nov. 2 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Christ the King Community Church in Gibsons.
The movie night is a 1940's movie themed information and annual fundraiser event for Sunshine Coast Young Life as they share what's been happening and raise funds for the upcoming year through monthly and one time donations.
Young Life is a Christian outreach ministry geared at loving and building relationships with youth in their world and encouraging them to know Jesus Christ. Young Life staff and volunteers invest time and energy into hanging out with youth during the school year, running a weekly club and taking them to a Young Life Camp in the summer.
Currently, Young Life Sunshine Coast has a part-time staff person that has started Young Life up in Gibsons this year and has plans to expand to Pender Harbour and Sechelt communities as funding is raised.
This summer Young Life leaders took 11 youth from the Sunshine Coast to Young Life's Rockridge Canyon in Princeton.
