Pawsitively Pender Harbour, Saturday, March 7, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of EarthFair Store, will be a celebration of animals, with home-baked goodies for you and yours (cupcakes, pupcakes, cream puffs and more yummy treats).

The Halfmoon Bay Branch of the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary will hold its next meeting on Monday, March 9 at Coopers Green Hall at 9:45 a.m. New members and guests are always welcome.

Join Rand Rudland at the Sunshine Coast Natural History Society meeting on Friday, March 6 for an illustrated presentation that will take you to the Southern Ocean in the Roaring Forties and Furious Fifties.

Earth continues its travel around the Sun, playing catch up with the outer visible planets – Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. They all appear further to the west of the Sun than in February and are more easily seen in the morning before sunrise.

The first Book Faire of the 2020 season was held last month at the Sechelt Public Library and was marked with a bang and a birthday. The bang consisted of all the customers and donors who were lined up outside the library before the event began.

Congratulations to Leah Pearson-White from Halfmoon Bay who represented Vancouver Coastal as part of the team that won gold at the BC Winter Games.

Springtime is fast approaching (we hope) and with it brings a rebirth of activity.

Pawsitively Pender Harbour, next Saturday March 7, will be the sixth annual sweet celebration of animals and a fundraiser for those who do so much to help them – Thank Dog I Am Out, Gibsons Wildlife Rehab Centre, BCSPCA and Elderdog.
