The Rotary Club of Pender Harbour hosted their 17th Annual People’s Choice Show & Shine on Aug. 7 at the legion in Maderia Park. It was a fabulous sunny day for this family event. Thank you to all the participants and sponsors.

Gibsons Marine Rescue Society launched their Making Waves fundraiser for RCM Search and Rescue Station 14 last weekend with an evening of appetizers and drinks at Leo’s Tapas & Grill in Gibsons.

'These things do not happen by accident, the many come together to do their part and create a beauty to behold, and we are but a small, but vital part of it. Some do little, some do much, just by showing up we become a portion of the charm.'

'Club members were very grateful for the generous support to the community.  We also thank the Coast Car Club for allowing us to sell these tickets.  We will be there next year. We will also be at the e-car event.'
