'Vita Zenia Simpson, of Sechelt BC, was 102 when she passed away peacefully on June 27 after a very full life.'

'Mum lived in Sechelt for 20+ years enjoying lawn bowling, curling, gardening, walking, chair yoga and volunteering for various organizations. After she moved to Christenson Village, she enrolled in the art classes, offered weekly and produced some beautiful paintings.'

'In 1991 Shirley and Ken moved to Gibsons, BC. The west coast climate combined with Shirley's love for plants and flowers, brought her garden to life. She took great pride in her flowers as well as harvesting and sharing that which came from her vegetable garden.'

Cedar Grove Elementary was a hubbub of energy as popsicle stick bridges were tested and broken by student builders at the 12th annual Sunshine Coast Popsicle Stick Bridge Contest.
