Stops not to be missed on this weekend’s crawl

Ready, set go! Art Crawl 2023 is under way today, Friday, Oct. 20, and runs through tomorrow and Sunday.

Winners of the 2023 Sunshine Coast People's Choice Awards gathered at Gibsons Public Market on Oct. 19 for the annual gala celebrating the best of local businesses. 

'Wayne loved where he lived. He was a volunteer fire fighter for many years, which he loved. He sat on the OCP Committee and was the heart of the Sunshine Coast Drag Racing Club.'

'Michael loved walking the trails near his family home in Roberts Creek; he was passionate about nature, racquet sports, music and art, and always sought to create beauty in every corner of his life.'

'She had a way of making friends wherever she went and brought joy and light to every person she met. Her happiness, joy in life, and laugh were contagious, and she will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.'

'Jean was always the person to offer an opinion, stop and smell the roses or just talk to people to see what they were doing. That sense of curiosity continued until her passing.'

'He was someone who relished a problem to solve, and had the limitless mind and work ethic to solve it.'
