Kisses & Kicks

Here are your kicks and kisses for the week of April 28!

  • Sincere thanks to you for your honesty in turning over our family cellphone into the Independent in Sechelt, lost last December.
  • Big kisses to Sam from To the Nines who was working at my neighbour’s and came to my rescue.
  • Kisses to the stranger from Gibsons who surprised this senior couple by buying us lunch on April 5 at Taphouse 22.  We never had a chance to say thanks as you had left by the time we found out you had paid. Acts of kindness like this are why we think the Sunshine Coast is the best place to live.
  • Kisses to whomever planted cherry trees along Teredo & Inlet streets in Sechelt, so we can all enjoy the beautiful spring blossoms.
  • Kisses to One Straw for the lovely spring flower display at Ocean Gardens. Beautiful to walk by there.  Thank you for a great job.
  • Kisses to Steve at South Coast Ford for fixing the GPS “chatting” device on my car and shutting off the sound!  Thank you.
  • Kicks to governments who don’t listen to the voter/taxpayer, they have forgotten that they are civil “servants”. Every expenditure should be a referendum by the people not the embedded bureaucrats!
  • Kisses to Dr. David English and Vivian of FYI for my glasses. You truly went above and beyond for me and I truly appreciate everything you have done.
  • Huge hugs to Anthony (LaBettolina restaurant) for coming to the rescue with his two visiting friends after seeing my husband and myself struggling to move a cord of wood to our woodpile.  These fellows had our wood stacked in less than an hour.
  • Kisses to Guy Dawkins (great cook too!) and the Masonic Lodge for hosting Sunday breakfasts. I attended a couple of them last year and I am hoping they will start up again. Great experiences, particularly enlightening.
  • Kind kisses to Karen and all her family & guests! Beautiful celebration of Tom‘s spectacular life!
  • Paint can full of kisses to Gibsons Building Supplies (Sechelt) for their donation of paint etc., to spruce up our clothing bins at the Hospital Thrift Store.
  • Happy healthy birthday to my friend, Dyona. You’re a rare sweet soul.
