Mosquito All Stars finish strong

The 2018 Sunshine Coast Mosquito All Stars finished their season at the Provincial Championships in Comox on Saturday, Aug. 4. The summer season was a success. Coaches Sean Gray, Drew Stewart and Keith Shannon led the squad to a 7-3 record in the regular season to qualify for the provincial tournament. The opening game against South Okanagan was highlighted by an extra innings walk-off winning hit by Ryder Hudrick. Losses to Ladysmith on Friday and Newton Saturday morning unfortunately knocked the team out of playoff contention.

The team finished strong in their final game with a 16-13 victory over South Burnaby. Congratulations to all the players and coaches for a great season!
