Coast athletes excel in track and field

Five Coastal Track and Field kids give their all at the BC High School Championships last week in Kelowna.

Representing Elphinstone Secondary were Jack Marshall in both Grade 8 high jump and Pentathlon, Kallalei Ryden in senior girls 1500m, 3000m and 4x400m relay, Sacha Stipec in 400m and 4x400m relay, and Piper Goerzen and Mari Nielsen, both key members of the 4x400m relay team.

The highlights of the meet were Jack Marshall placing fifth in the Pentathlon multi-sport competition and the senior girls relay team taking another four seconds off their all-time best.
