Co-ed hockey event supports Food Bank

A Christmas Co-ed Hockey Fundraiser is scheduled for Dec. 7 at Gibsons Arena to raise funds for food banks on the Coast.

Hosted by the Rusty Cranks seniors’ hockey club and the Women’s Hockey League, the fun event starts at 7 p.m.

“There is no target amount we have hopes of reaching,” said the organizers in a press release. “We’re just a group of hockey players trying to be socially helpful at Christmas and have fun.”

Come out and cheer on your favourite team or sponsor one of the players. Donations for the food banks will be gratefully accepted.
