Chinooks at Provincials in Kamloops

Eloise Allen and Lorren Benko represented the Sunshine Coast Chinook Swim Club in Kamloops March 7 to 10. To qualify for the meet swimmers must attain times determined by the fastest 50 swimmers in their age category. Lorren qualified for the meet with a time of 29.19 in 50 freestyle. Eloise swam in six events over the course of four days. The times in these events were: 200 Breast (2:59.82), 100 free (1:03.43), 200 BK (2:36.02), 100 Br (1:23.02), 50 free (28.70), 100 BK (1:09.92). Eloise made the B final for 50 free, which places her 12th in the province. Her 100 Backstroke was also impressive, placing her eighth in the province and earning her a Canadian Western time at the age of 14. Congratulations, Lorren and Eloise!
