Chinooks at Provincials in Kamloops

Eloise Allen and Lorren Benko represented the Sunshine Coast Chinook Swim Club in Kamloops March 7 to 10. To qualify for the meet swimmers must attain times determined by the fastest 50 swimmers in their age category.

Eloise Allen and Lorren Benko represented the Sunshine Coast Chinook Swim Club in Kamloops March 7 to 10. To qualify for the meet swimmers must attain times determined by the fastest 50 swimmers in their age category. Lorren qualified for the meet with a time of 29.19 in 50 freestyle. Eloise swam in six events over the course of four days. The times in these events were: 200 Breast (2:59.82), 100 free (1:03.43), 200 BK (2:36.02), 100 Br (1:23.02), 50 free (28.70), 100 BK (1:09.92). Eloise made the B final for 50 free, which places her 12th in the province. Her 100 Backstroke was also impressive, placing her eighth in the province and earning her a Canadian Western time at the age of 14. Congratulations, Lorren and Eloise!
