Feb. 7 was a thrilling day for all the members of the Chatelech Ski Team because it was finals day against the North Shore League, competition they had never raced before. Even then, there were still some good results.

In Skiing Boys, Marley Mural got 42nd in the largest and best competition of the day and Jack Campbell, even though he did race, wasn’t recorded on the results sheet. The mystery continues about his results.

Levi Mural, Erik Krutsky and Quillan Lightfoot, boy snowboarders, placed 14th, 16th, and 18th against some tough competitors. The skiing girls, Paige Franken and Paige Doyle, ranked 19th and 22nd in the most intense group of the day.

Evelyn Klassen, who was the most successful teammate the entire season, beat out all the other snowboarders in her category. She placed first and qualified for provincials in Sun Peaks in March.

Team members all enjoyed the season so much and are looking forward to next year.
