Editor: The speed limit on the B&K logging road is 30 km/h. There are drivers doing at least twice that speed, kicking up dust as they go.

Editor: Congratulations to the hardworking crews and supervisors looking after our roads.

Editor: Re: “Machado rips into GABC” (June 7) and “George division hammers Gibsons” (June 14). Has anyone asked the Town of Gibsons to substantiate what the CAO said in council on June 4? We’d be happy to help.

Editor: With ever increasing numbers of residents and visitors on the Coast we urgently need infrastructure upgrades.

Editor: Re: “New laws loom as forestry industry falls into crisis,” June 14. It’s difficult to hear about the mill closures in B.C. Many hardworking people are or will be out of a job or on temporary layoff.

Editor: Once more, I need to speak to the summer challenge of air quality, water shortages and campfires. I live near Roberts Creek Campground and most of the more than 20 campsites are host to a fire almost every night of the season.

Editor: The last paragraph in George Pratt’s letter of June 14 (“Doctors, nurses truly tops”) was spot on. We have exemplary medical care here.
