I was delighted to see at least one person thinks as I do as I read the June 5 letter from Anne Carr (“What price democracy?”).
I’m also a local 80-year-old who intends to leave the party before I am unable to care for myself! But how?
Likely there are many of us oldsters who think this way and I believe we should be able to use MAiD to do this when we are ready.
After all, old age IS terminal and without independence the future looks dismal indeed.
