Letter: Message of apology from the Sechelt Mayor

'I apologize for my part in the dysfunction that exists amongst the leadership of the District. I understand that some of my efforts have not been well received by Council and senior staff and this has divided both us and the community.'

Dear residents, councillors and staff of the District of Sechelt: 

I apologize for my part in the dysfunction that exists amongst the leadership of the District. I understand that some of my efforts have not been well received by Council and senior staff and this has divided both us and the community. 

I ran for office because I care about Sechelt and I believe it can be even better.  I will continue to bring my dedication, experience, and energy to the role of Mayor — but with a renewed focus on collaboration. 

Thank you to everyone who has voiced concerns and support and offered guidance and encouragement.
