To all those who are up in arms (and for some, militant) about Easter weekend ferry traffic:
Unfortunately the time has past, you’re late coming to the table (this time!). Two weeks ago, our family wrote letters to our local MLA and the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure (as did, no doubt, many others), knowing this was coming. We were informed of a conscious decision at that time on the part of the provincial government to encourage, but not enforce, a non-essential travel “ban” in support of the recommendations of its own Ministry of Health.
Therefore, suck it up, don’t forget, and let that inform your choice at the ballot box next time as to who will best represent your interests in crucial times such as this. Hopefully not a single one of our neighbours needs to die to make this point.
