The following letter was sent to the Town of Gibsons and copied to Coast Reporter
Dear Town of Gibsons:
Thank you for charging for the water in lower Gibsons - you've saved us quite a bit of money.
We just installed an under counter filter that cost about $100 and no longer need to travel to lower Gibsons to fill up our water jugs. As we live in Halfmoon Bay we'd usually take several large jugs for filling. At the rate of 25 cents per litre, our filter will have paid for its self in three trips that we won't be making -never mind the cost of the gas to get there. We also won't be visiting the local coffee shops while in the area, or the book store or any of the other business for that matter.
A win-win for us and a lose-lose for Gibsons.
