Regarding the AAP situation for the retrofit of the Prowse Road sewer lift station, the vocal minority would want to have the silent majority believe that the retrofit was for the exclusive benefit of the proposed George development. The retrofit has been on the books since 2007 and my understanding is that this retrofit is very much needed with some urgency to ensure proper functioning to service much of Gibsons’ sewerage treatment.
I note the leaders of the vocal minority include failed candidates in past Gibsons municipal elections – maybe they all need to look in the mirror and reflect on the democratic option that the majority of Gibsons residents took by NOT voting for them! And congratulations to Gibsons CAO Emanuel Machado for delivering a well-deserved critique to all of the vocal minorities. The cost to all of us taxpaying property owners of Gibsons to defend the actions of the vocal minority (which all have been dismissed) could have been a significant contribution to the Prowse Road retrofit.
