I find the letter from Linda Ruiz (“Walk on a dog-free trail,” Oct. 23) to be extremely offensive. The last time I checked, our parks and trails were there for the benefit of all. My husband and I enjoy walking in Cliff Gilker Park frequently, specifically for the peace and tranquility of the area. This should not have to include being jumped on by muddy dogs and having to negotiate piles of dog feces because owners are too lazy to pick them up. We have been dog owners for many years (unfortunately no longer) and have always been respectful of leashing laws. It has absolutely nothing to do with “entitlement.”
And just for the record, I don’t own any designer sportswear!
