Stage 4!
I can’t understand why the two SCRD reps were so happy to be on Global News speaking about Stage 4 water restrictions on the Sunshine Coast when, through the SCRD’s lack of planning and implementation, we are now on Stage 4. The SCRD, at a meeting two years ago, spoke about building reservoirs or tapping into other lakes for our water supply, but nothing has been done other than adding meters. Why can’t Gray Creek provide water to a larger catchment area?
It is time for action, not grandstanding, or we will be on Stage 4 again next year – even if we have lots of rain and snow pack as we did this year.
