We would like to thank allthe people who voted for Gibsons Wildlife Rehab Centre through the AVIVA Community Fund. Although we did not win, it is so encouraging for us to know we have so many people who support our wildlife rehabilitation work.
Thanks also to Coast Reporter's Christine Wood for her article informing people how they can vote. We would mention that the person who entered our name in the AVIVA competition, Bill Endert, did so by chance and he was delighted to see that his application was accepted, and so were we. To clarify Christine's article, Bill did immediately contact us, and he and his wife then visited our Centre to learn more of our work helping injured wildlife. Since then Bill has worked endlessly encouraging people to vote for us, and we are so appreciative of his efforts.
Although we did not receive this funding, we will continue to help wildlife in distress with the help and support of the public and volunteers.
