I was very disappointed that the highlight of the Writers’ Festival, for many of us, was overlooked in last week’s overview of the Festival. Kinnie Starr, the last speaker, was phenomenal. She not only read poetry, rapped and sang but she had the audience completely engaged throughout her presentation. She even received a standing ovation and everyone was up dancing while she rapped. I can only hope that she finds a new publisher, as many of us want to read her book, How I Learned to Run.
