Man gets a ticket for bad brakes on a BC ferry ["Truck hit gallery ramp, delayed Earls Cove, Saltery Bay sailings," June 8].
Where do they get off giving him a ticket? He was not on a public road or highway. We have been told time and time and time again coastal ferries are not part of the highway system. He was on private property.
We have been told time and time and time again BC Ferries is not a crown corporation, it is an entity unto its own. In other words, private property. Would it be any different if a cop gave a speeding ticket to someone at Saratoga Speedway?
They can't have their cake and eat it, too. I think he should fight the ticket.
