I heard that some neighbours have been offended by my letter last week (“Creepy note went too far”). I apologize. My intention was not to offend nor accuse my neighbours. I believe our neighbours are largely well meaning, but I was trying to convey how some of their actions have made us feel unwelcome and persecuted. Perhaps we have misinterpreted their actions like some have misinterpreted our attempt at humour.
I have written this as a public apology in hope of healing our neighborhood. Sorry, sincerely I did not mean to offend anyone. We also run a bed and breakfast which has become a bone of contention in the neighborhood and have decided to shut it down on Sept. 1. I hope our neighbours may better enjoy their homes and the neighbourhood and we may coexist in harmony.
