There will soon be a big change in Wilson Creek. Dave Munro will be leaving the Shell station. Many of us have been making a special point of filling our tanks there for years. This, in spite of and even because of the lack of pay at the pump. In our fast-paced world where convenience seems to be the priority, it has always been worth the extra time to walk inside to pay up and have a brief chat with Dave. In a time when personal contact is being avoided we lose personal connection, and I will miss my connection with Dave. There are many Dave Munro stories and hopefully others will write in with them, but I would like to relate an experience of my husband’s. On one of the rare occasions when Dave himself was not there, my husband asked his employee how her day was and she replied, “Life is good and I get to work for Dave Munro.”
