Editor:
This letter is addressed to We the Ridership and We the Readership.
First, let’s shout three cheers for Sunshine Coast Transit and its courageous drivers, who endure diverse situations daily amidst COVID-19, and thanks be to God that Transit subsidized us needy riders for an entire month. Since the cost of printing hard copies of transit schedules would only add to the tremendous expense of gas, I suggest you print a few copies for yourself and others on your route. Let’s appreciate Transit, which has gone above and beyond the call of duty and keeps riding us straight through our needy days during the ongoing COVID health issue.
While I’m at it, a few words for our Coast Reporter. On the Calvinist side of Anglicanism, there was apparently a three-tiered pulpit in use: top drawer for Bishop, middle drawer for Vicar, and the third for the Reading of the Community News – a kind of “in-house” Town Crier. Well, you may not be a believer, but you’re for sure a receiver of the benefits of the aforementioned, so let’s get behind our Coast Reporter and support generously. To all of you readers out there, can you spare $10 a month? Yes, you can – you know you can – so loosen the purse and wallet strings and support a vital community service. “Hear Ye, Hear Ye!”
