Sechelt Mayor John Henderson has recently acknowledged that we have a structural deficit and that it has existed for a number of years.
He went on to indicate current and desired steps for funding from the federal and provincial governments.
It's all fine and well to point out the deficiencies of other levels of government in funding infrastructure but it's this council's responsibility to deal with Sechelt's finances. Perhaps they could start by resolving the long outstanding development cost charge (DCC) issue.
