When reading the concerns of local residents about the halfway house on Pratt Road, (Coast Reporter, June 5) it would be so easy to dismiss them as just another not in my back yard (NIMBY) incident. That would be wrong. The concerns were genuine.
Cathie Roy obviously recognised this. Her editorial was sensitive and her writing brilliant. Congratulations, Cathie, you tackled the problem head on. I hope that those concerned citizens on Pratt will read your editorial and that they will start to think differently about a halfway house on their road.
