I was dismayed when I read the article on medical marijuana (Coast Reporter, Aug. 29).

Isn’t it just wonderful that Chris Moore and Tom Lamb are not only in the building trade, but are now both looking at being in the legal pot producing trade.

I thought there was a conflict of interest before, but now it sticks out like a sore thumb. We need people on our council who do not have any direct conflict of interest in seeing to the affairs of our community, especially building and drug producing.

It is bad enough that the government is promoting legal marijuana, but why do these councillors want Sechelt known as the drug capital of B.C.? Now we will have people high on marijuana behind the wheel and it’s legal? When the election comes, please remember to think hard and fast who you are going to vote for.
