On Family Day, the Sechelt Aquatic Centre was open only from noon to 4 p.m. The best centre in Sechelt for Family Day fun was otherwise closed on Family Day. Unbelievable! I was there on Sunday morning and the crowds of young families with little children were delightful to see. I find it difficult to understand the rationale behind it. Perhaps overtime had to be paid to workers, but a few more dollars on the deficit is not going to hurt.
