Re: Municipal hall pitched (July 7).
One entity seems to repeatedly get overlooked in news items regarding library and municipal hall proposals – the Sechelt Community Archives. Home since 1997 to a growing treasure trove of historic photographs, documents and records from myriad Sechelt organizations and individuals, it is currently housed in a full-to-bursting room generously provided by the Sechelt Library. Open to the public one day a week (Thursdays), an impressive collection of its photographs, oral histories and correspondence is also available 24/7 at archives.sechelt.ca.
Please don’t forget about the archives in the future.
