Re: Gibsons briefs (Coast Reporter, June 4) proposed smoking ban.
Enough already with this anti-smoking scapegoatism and hypocrisy.
Let's keep a perspective. The most globally pervasive pollutant since the Industrial Revolution is industry with its endless toxic emissions polluting air, water and soil and producing goods that are in turn the very pollutants in vehicles, airplanes, nuclear waste etc.
Nicotine is but a fractional aspect of this global pollution. Also consider the lethal side effects of many conventional drugs.
