Re: Bill Forst federal NDP's choice

Here we go again and already! Misinformation abounds from the NDP camp.

Veniez was never a member of the Conservative Party. I know; I checked. The last time he held a membership in any party was in the late 80s, before the Progressive Conservative Party became the Reform, Alliance, er, whatever they were called. He worked for the government of the day; that is true. However, many people have government jobs; once I was asked to work with a government committee that was taking an inventory of the youth shelters in the province of Alberta, and I was the second least likely person to be a Alberta Conservative, right behind Kevin Taft, the Liberal Leader.

Unlike the NDP and Harper's Conservatives, Liberals can embrace good ideas, good dialogue, good people, no matter where they started. It just shows the strength and diversity of the party that people from all walks of life can find value in the policies and beliefs of the Liberal Party of Canada. The Sunshine Coast Liberal chapter meets monthly; we have folks from all walks of life, from pretty much every political stripe, who come and dialogue at our meetings. Come find out for yourself!

Dan Veniez will be a good candidate and a great MP; only someone who has international business experience, B.C. business experience and years of experience working with the Conservative government will know how to fix the deficits the current government has created. Weston and Forst have none of the qualities that will help the country and our region to recover from the right wing partisan fear-mongering narrow-mindedness that governs us today.

Veniez is our next MP.
